RSA Courses: Latest Trend To Combat D.U.I.

RSA Courses: Latest Trend To Combat D.U.I.

Whereas in the United States, there have been countless of millions of dollars spent in trying to decide on a way to curtail automobile accidents by increasing or decreasing the speed limits, a seemingly less expensive way and more common sense method to clamp down on alcoholic-provoked accidents has come to the forefront.Responsible Service of Alcohol Training (RSA Courses)

Most effectively first used in Australia, this form of certified occupational training given to servers, sellers and consumers of alcoholic beverages, aids in the prevention of intoxication, drunk driving and drinking by minors. When the course requirements are met, those having taken the course receive an RSA certificate.

RSA Courses And The Process

While used primarily in Australia and other English-speaking nations, this is one piece of legislation that is fast gaining in popularity among other countries as well. Almost every state or municipality requires that rigid RSA courses Sydney at be implemented as part of employment-required measures.

Courses can be obtained online through eLearning programs depending on individual state regulations or in a classroom on-site environment by certified instructors. Many providers or states offer either options as course modules given in two to six-hour training sessions–depending on the course itself and its content during this period.

Some RSA Training Benefits

By having obtained the certification needed, liability mitigation during a lawsuit offers evidence of intent, on the part of the business establishment that served the alcohol, to comply with legal statutes. Having done so, a “reasonable efforts defense” can then be mounted in a lawsuit.

Furthermore, a lower liquor liability insurance premium, compliance with local regulations, reduced penalties for alcohol violations and helping prevent alcohol-related crimes are also some of the many benefits afforded by having taken RSA courses over a certain period.

As a result of such RSA courses, many employees/managers can be better able to spot underage drinkers, detect signs of drunkenness and hopefully intervene predictably in preventing possible problem situations from arising.
